A 6-month update

So much has happened in the last 6 months. James is home!!! He got a job with the government, and after 6 weeks of training in Washington DC. He is finally home for good. We LOVE having him home.
We also ran our first half marathon together at the end of October. It was the neatest experience to run it together. It is so nice to have James feeling so well. We each trained for it apart from each other. While James was in DC, I went out to visit and we got to do our last "long" run around the national mall. It was so much fun!
We got to take Adalyn to Disneyland for her 4th birthday. We left Ava with Grandma and Grandpa, and although I felt guilty, it was so fun to be with Adalyn. Her life has felt hard and it was so much fun to get to do "normal" things with her. We all had such a wonderful time. She enjoyed the fastest rides and meeting the characters. She wore her Snow White costume on the airplane and couldn't wait to meet the princesses. We LOVE Disneyland.
During the summer, we got to go and stay with James in Sun Valley for 6 weeks. We are hoping to make it a tradition to go back there in the summer. We made some wonderful friends and loved being a family again after so many months apart. It was truly one of the highlights of the year.
We made the decision to move to Dallas in August so James could stay in his same line of work with PricewaterhouseCoopers. It was a very difficult decision to leave our family, friends and cancer doctors. A week later he was offered a position with the government. It will allow us to stay here. The job will be stable and of course, the health benefits will be good working for the government. He will really miss the people at PwC. They have been so wonderful to our family. We have been so so blessed! This year has been the most difficult year of our lives in so many ways and yet we have never felt so blessed and cared for.
I need to apologize for all those that haven't had access to our blog for a while. Truthfully life has been so chaotic that I haven't had much time to update it. Please continue to read for more updates. I will be much better about updating our blog!
